PLEASE HELP

I have a matching set to these i found on a web page for a London science and medical history museum. they gave very little insight to what there main purpose was, then alone to give a price. I have seen others online but the 2 sets i did see didnt have the same back clasp mine actually have a patent date if you flip up the first clasp it says "PAT.APL.22.73.NOV.10.10.NOV.15.81 and behind the second Clasp after the enema it reads PAT'D AUG.24.1880. Also I have noticed on the first one the stem piece leading to the clasp is a signature stamp i guess of a upside down horse shoe with a clover in the middle. Also on the other one is a signature stamp reading "OM" ive looked it up and then only thing i came across that i thought could be possible was "Order of merits"

PLEASE HELP

This short sword/knife was found at the swapmeet here in San Diego. It looks to be hand made and has a flowery design on the side. The knife was not sharpened on the side of the blade. So it makes me think it is designed for a costume or made for decoration. I really dont know for sure and the people that sold the item had no information on where it came from other than I was bought in a warehouse. I dont know the make, age,or the origin of the knife but it does seem to me it is old. Please help me determine the age/make. I am also interrested in selling the item too.

PLEASE HELP

This is a Child's Wagon similar to the original "Radio Flyer" wagon series. However, this wagon was produced for Hi-Lo Grocery stores in the 1950's, as a promo for the store. Many of the wagon's were sold at Hi-Lo Grocery stores in the Chicago area. I have only been able to find limited info. about them, and do not know if they have any value. This wagon was found in New Buffalo, Michigan an is in good shape for its age (50-60yrs. old) and still retains 85% of its original paint & lettering. If you would like to see a photo of it, please e-mail me, at sbes@mail.com Please let me know if you have any further information, and an estimated range of their value, or if you can refer me to another website.

Coca cola company mirror. States: Atlanta Ga, US patent office trademark, January 13 1888. Haven't seen another exact one ANYWHERE with the office info in it. I have had this for 10 years+. Would like to know what it is worth.

Submit your estimate of worth

Estimated Value submitted by AntiquesNavigator Staff

Hi Elishia,

I believe you have a 1970's reproduction of mirror originally from the 1800's. If it is a reproduction it's worth around $25-75 dollars:

Vintage coca cola mirrored sign

Vintage wood framed coca cola mirror

Vintage Glass Coca cola plaque mirror

If original it would be worth quite a bit more, around $250-350 dollars. Here are some examples of non-reproduction coca cola mirrors:

5c Coca Cola sign mirror Hilda Clark

5c Coca Cola Vintage collectible mirror

Estimated Value submitted by Elishia

How would I be able to tell if it is a reproduction or not?

Estimated Value submitted by AntiquesNavigator Staff

Original victorian era mirrors would have a battered frame due to their age and the silver on the back would have spotting. I'm fairly certain your mirror is a reproduction, but unless you know it's complete history it's sometimes hard to tell.

I came across your website and see that one sold last July for $200+, my question is that the photo of the table on the link on this website has the levers to fold and unfold the legs in a different place. Mine has them on the table itself, but the one on here has them on the edge. Please advise at to whether mine is older or newer and what it is worth. The table is in perfect working order, the legs show a little wear and the top needs to be polished somehow. I don't want to ruin it since I am unsure of the material used. Thank you!

Hi Rachel,

The Los Angeles brewing company was founded in 1897 and was located on the L.A. River near Lincoln Park in Los Angeles CA. I believe it was purchased by Zobelein in 1907 and was used to make a line of beers called Eastside lager.

This historical information would date your villeroy and Boch jug in the 1897-1907 time frame. Your beer jug is a great garage sale find and would be valued in the $300-500 dollar range.

Very cool beer stein! Thanks for sharing it with us!

The Wright Line old industrial card file

It's a UNISTORALL made by The Wright Line Inc. All steel. Has 6 ball bearing drawers with 3 card file inserts each. Very smooth open/close on drawers! Also has a steel roll down front door on it. Tabour is the term? Top has an insert with a slight rubbery feel to it, so I supposed it was used as a table as well. It's maybe 4 feet wide and almost cube shaped. Sides and top are several inches wide. Perhaps it's fireproof? I sent pics to the company and none of the techs had never seen one. Everything is rounded which gives it a nice art deco feel. Any info is appreciated! Thanks, Ben

Hi Ben,

Very old file cabinets are made of wood, so your filing cabinet is probably from the 1950s to the 1970s. I don't know of any collectors of card file cabinets, but I'm sure they're out there! As far as value, I would say in the $100-150 dollar range.

2 Copper Pitchers From San Antonio

Submitted by: Dee Dee
Main Image

PLEASE HELP

My parents lived in San Antonio, TX from 1953-1956. My father did translation work for individuals needing help with legal matters. He received these two pitchers as payment from someone who could not pay him. This individual was working at the construction site of the Alamo. He claimed that they came from the site. I did some research and the Alamo was under some renovations during that time period. I could not find any markings on them. They seem to be in good condition. On handle seems to have been replaced. They are very heavy. Is there any way to tell if they were from the Alamo time period? Thank-You!

Submit your estimate of worth

Estimated Value submitted by AntiquesNavigator Staff

Hi Dee Dee,

Your copper pitchers certainly look hand made and perhaps from that period, however without documentation showing proof they were used at the alamo, that fact doesn't add to their value. It's probably more likely they were used as props at the alamo, so would represent copper pitchers from that area. They are still valuable, even without documentation linking them to use at the alamo fort. I would give your copper pitchers a value of $300-400 a piece.

Thanks for sharing them with us, they're a wonderful piece of american history.
