Do you own antiques or collectibles but have no idea of their worth?

Click here for a free antique appraisal. Submit a description and a photo of your antique and find collectors willing to help out by estimating their worth.

Are you a dedicated antique collector? Help out fellow antique collectors by submitting your estimate of the below antiques. AntiquesNavigator offers this service completely free of charge, but other than antique padlocks we are not experts on all antiques and collectibles. If you own an extremely rare antique that belongs in the Smithsonian, you're probably better off putting the antique up for auction with Sotherby! However, if you have more commons antiques and collectibles and are curious to their worth, then we can help! AntiquesNavigator does not guarantee the accuracy of the free appraisal, so it might be a good idea to wait until you get at least a couple of responses from our readers before deciding the value of your antique or collectible.

Vintage Rosenthal China Dinner Service for 16 complete

Submitted by: Carlyn
Main Image

PLEASE HELP

I have inherited a set of Rosenthal China, The marking on the bottom of each piece says: "Elfenbein"(I think..)printed over the Rosenthal China mark, and under the mark, it says either "Wronach-Germany" or "Kronach- Germany" (hard to read it) and under that "Victoria" with a number, in gold "26 08 35". There are 24 dinner plates, 18 soup bowls, 23 dessert plates, 20 saucers, 17 cups....so, there is a complete set of dinnerware for 16 people, with additional plates, bowls, cups, saucers, etc. There is also a large soup tureen with lid, a coffee pot with lid, sugar bowl with lid, creamer, tea pot with lid, two servings bowls, one large oval serving platter, and one dessert serving platter with handles. All of these pieces are rimmed with gold and all are in excellent condition...no chips, etc. The only information I have about this china is that it was buried during WWII to keep it from being stolen or taken by, presumably, the German army. I am submitting photos of all of these pieces, and would appreciate an estimate of the value of this china, as I plan to sell it. Thank you for any help or information you can provide.

PLEASE HELP

This clay figurine was made in 1892 by a Felicio Martinez in Guadala(ja)ra, according to the writing on its bottom. It is approx. 9 1/2" high on a 3" wide round base. The right arm of the figurine is missing and there are a few nicks on the base. I wonder if there is someone who could and willing to tell me something about the artist and if this object worth something at all. I would gratefully appreciate any information. Thank you.

PLEASE HELP

MAHOGANY ANTIQUE DESK 52"X30"X18" WITH 6 SIDE SHAPED DRAWERS,1ST DRAWER HAS 3 COMPARTMENTS & MEASURES AT 16"X5"X15" WITH 3 DOVETAILS. THE 2ND & 3RD DRAWERS HAVE 7 DOVETAILS @16"X5"X9". THE SCALLOPED WOOD ON FRONT OF DESK DOESN'T HAVE A PULL OUT DRAWER. THE 4TH, 5TH & 6TH DRAWERS ON THE RIGHT MEASURE AT 10"X15"X9". EACH DRAWER HAS #3 IMPRINTED ON THE SIDE OF DRAWER, WITH 3WL WITH "W" WRITTEN IN BLUE & "3L"IN PENCIL ON ALL 6 OF THE DRAWERS. THE DESK HAS A CRESCENT MOON BACK HAS #689484 IMPRINTED BLACK & #689 IN WHITE RIGHT UNDER IT. THE 4 OF 6 LEGS TAPER FROM 5" TO 3" TO 2" WIDE & HAVE VINES ENGRAVED ON THE FRONT LEGS. THE BACK LEGS ARE STRAIGHT & 8" IN LENGTH. WOOD PEGS WERE FOUND EMBEDDED IN THE LEGS & ARE REMOVABLE & THE RIVETS WERE ROUND ON TOP, NO WOOD VENEER, JUST SOLID WOOD. THE WOOD APPEARS TO BE MAHOGANY WITH A LIGHTER COLOR WOOD TRIMMING THROUGHOUT AND THE HARDWARE USED FOR DRAWERS APPEARS TO BE ORIGINAL. I BELIEVE THAT THE DESK IS FAIRLY GOOD CONDITION CONSIDERING ITS AGE & IT HAS NOT BEEN RESTORED. nO PICTURES OF THIS DESK WAS FOUND ON THE INTERNET SO I CAN ONLY CONCLUDE THAT IT IS A RARE FIND.

PLEASE HELP

I acquired this interesting piece recently from someone who sells items from estate sales and I would like to know more about its creator and about its value. According to the writing on its bottom, it was made by a Francisco Martinez in Guadala(ja)ra, in 1892.The figurine's right arm is missing and there are couple minor nicks but considering its fragile material and its age, it is in really nice condition. Its incredible detailed and life-like and that is why I think that the sculptor was maybe a well-known artist of his time. But even if he was just a talented amateur, I would greatly appreciate any information about the value of this artwork. Thank you very much!

I think this stove dates back to the 1890's? Its very ornate with a finial on top. It has a grate that swings out to reveal a stove eye; which we have the handle to. Its got a front and side door. Its got the foot rest that hooks in the front. We think it can be used to burn wood or coal either one. This stove has been sitting in the basement of my neighbors house. He was going to haul it to the trash dump! He gladly gave it to me so he didn't have to load it on his truck. I have been looking nearly two months now for one to compare it to. I can't find another one like it. I'm just curious as to the worth of it. Its the most beautiful stove I've ever seen. There is a similar one listed on eBay right now but its no.23. Mine is no.21. The buy it now price on the no. 23 is over $4000! As far as the working condition of the stove, it's going to take some work to get it safe for burning. The handle on the door in what I consider to be the front of the stove, has been replaced with a bolt. And the mica sheet or "isinglass" needs replacing as well. Besides that it just needs a good vacuuming out and polish job. The fire brick are all in there and as far as I can tell all the parts that are suppose to be with it are there. I think this would be a desirable stove to serve as just a decoration due to the detail of the designs and the stove not being too large in size. It would be very helpful to know what kind of value you guys would put on this thing in working or non working condition. Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to read all this even if you don't answer back I appreciate your time. Thanks!! ~Crystal~
