Small wooden ice box cart, it has a top that folds out into a serving table,
a rack to hold glasses, a small ice box that is removeable, has the letters D.R.G.M. inside, and a storage cabinet. It has wheels, and a handle to push.
I would love to know more about this box, approx year made, maker, value, any information would be great!

Hi Jackae, Do you currently have this ice box up for auction on Ebay? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-Ice-box-Extremly-Rare-Unique-/330900370312?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d0b32f388 DRGM might mean Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster, which means the design or function of the ice box was officially registered in all the German states. It would also make your ice box a German one. However, I don't know for certain that what the DRGM stamping stand for, it could just be the initials of the manufacturer. In any case, I would estimate the value of your antique ice box in the $500-1200 dollar range.

Hi Rose, Your 1958 Zenith portable record player is worth around $25-50 dollars, but it might be hard to find a buyer. Record players from this era are fairly common and there isn't a huge market for them. Always be careful plugging in vintage electronics, they didn't have the same UL (safety) codes back then and certain electrical components only last so long (capacitors). Also, the insulation around wiring becomes dry rotted with age and doesn't provide the same level of insulation it once did.

I have a relief carved teak jewelry box that was brought back from Amoy, China in 1902 by a relative who was the Vice Consul there at the time. It has remained in my family ever since. It is lined with red velvet, and has a lift-out tray, also lined in red velvet. There is some Chinese writing on the outer box it came in, and also some writing on the bottom of the box itself. I have had no luck translating the writing. The dimensions are 4 3/4" x 5" x 8 3/4". It is in good condition, there is some wear and tear.

I do not have very much information on this doll. It was given to me when I was younger. The lady told me it was around 100 years old and that was about 12 years ago. I have not found any thing similar to it online and there are no visible marking on it. It has a porcelain head and hands, the feet are hard however covered in material. The dress does not have any valcro or buttons, it is sewn shut at the back. The body is soft, I'm not sure what it would be made of. There is no cracks or scratches in the doll however the high chair that the doll sits on looks like it may have been refinished or not original. The tray that sits on top looks older or possibly just not refinished.

The tin I have is in quite good condition as in the pictures, and I would like to know if it is as rare as it seems in this condition. Thank you in advance for your help.

Wow, your Tobacco tin is in great shape! The book value on this collectible is $200 dollars and considering the condition of yours, I would say it's value is in the $150-225 range. Here's another one in similar condition currently for sale in Canada for $150 Canadian dollars: http://montreal.kijiji.ca/c-acheter-et-vendre-art-objets-a-collectionner-Antique-Tucketts-Abbey-Pocket-Tobacco-Tin-W0QQAdIdZ467239930

I don't have a lot of info. The desk is fabulous with flaming mahogany, brass insets and brass hardware. I believe it to be from the early 1800s. There are minor chips here and there but overall for an almost 200 year old piece, it is gorgeous.

I found these two ginger jars at a thrift store recently. I had no idea what they were even used for, but found some info on the internet to atleast find that out. I have searched endlessly and have only found one site with a similar jar, but the lid had been glued from being broke. It was estimated at $400~$500. It has the exact same mark on the bottom as mine, like you see in the pictures. I cannot find out who the maker is with the two blue rings on the bottom. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
DeAnna

Single sided with raised lettering
Was told it was from a small town in central Ohio and was mounted beside the trolly car Track in a pick up area.
Was told it to be from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. The casting is of a very good quality cast iron.I have several cast iron collectors interested and was wondering as to the value.

Hi Harry, You have a very unique piece and to the right buyer, I think you good easily get between $100-200 dollars for it. It would look great hanging on the wall of any serious trolley collector. However, I have seen similar pieces selling for a lot less, for example, here's a trolley cast iron plate that sold for $32.88 last year: http://www.antiquesnavigator.com/d-1352127/Rare-Antique-Cast-Iron-Trolley-Car-Plate-Sign-Winona-MN-Late-1800s.html Thanks for sharing. Your antique trolley car sign is a piece of history and would be a valued addition to any trolley or even a train collector.

I have a pitcher/bowl set that was my mothers. Not sure of age. My mother had it a long time. She may have bought it at a yard sale. The pitcher is white. It is 12 inches high with a mouth opening of 5 inches. It is marked on the bottom as follows: RoyalStone China, Wedgewood & Co China. It has a coat of arms. It appears to have 2 "hash" marks of some kind. It has no cracks or chips, except on the very bottom rim a small hole wearing into it. The bowl is also RoyalStone Ironstone but is marked from Tompkinson Bros & Co. It also has a coat of arms and is stamped T.&.B.Co. Also appears good shape. No cracks, chips. Also have set of Noritake china, pattern is Carltonia. It was originally service for 8 but there are missing pieces. Dinner plate, salad plate, small bowl, coffee cup/saucer, sugar and creamer. Few chips. Just interested if any are of any value. I have been told they should be, but not sure. Thank you for your informatin.

Found this old Garland stove while cleaning out my mom's garage. Can't find any info on it. No idea if it works. One of the back legs is coming off. But it looks really old and like it might be an antique. I can't tell if it says No. 20 G or C. Does anyone know if it is worth anything. It needs to be cleaned up, but I don't know how to do it.

Hi Etrag,
In1864 the Garland Line began in a
small Foundry in Detroit, which grew to become the Michigan Stove
company in 1873, and produced over 200 varieties of stoves under the
name Garland. In 2008 Garland became part of Manitowoc Foodservice
and are still manufacturing various Garland equipment today. Below is
a link to the Garland history.
http://www.ehow.com/about_5367008_history-garland-stoves.html
Your Garland stove is worth between
$375 and $500 depending on the condition for a Gas stove. The wood
stoves sell for less. In 2010 a gas stove sold for $475 in an online
auction another in 2011 sold for $380. In 2007 a wood burning stove
sold for $10 but it was not in good condition. Thanks,
