Submit your estimate of worth

Estimated Value submitted by Becky

Hi Sharon,

Your Capodimonte is estimated between $10 to $20 for the style you have. The figurines in the Terra-Cotta finish bring between $60 to $75. This is a Capodimonte by Giuseppe Armani from his Little Treasures collection. The name of this one is Bathtime. Just letting you know that is a kitten playing with the bubbles coming from the tub.

Thanks,

Antique Primitive Jelly Cabinet

Submitted by: Levi
Main Image

PLEASE HELP

I found this in an old barn that I am dismantling. I do not know the exact age of the barn or the piece. The barn was framed without nails, using pegs. The cabinet was made with tongue and groove and square head nails. It is about 4 feet tall by 4 feet wide by 15 or so inches deep. I have not taken exact measurements. At some point the back "feet" broke off and boards were added to the back to keep the piece level. It has a wonderful light yellow fading paint. I would like to know more about it, it's approximate age, style, use, and value. Thanks!

I found this table also for a great price in Williamsburg, VA. I was told it was in one of the Mansions in Richmond. Everything looks original and is in excellent condition. I just know nothing about it except for the writing on the bottom of the marble piece and drawer.

Submit your estimate of worth

Estimated Value submitted by Tim

Hi Mark,

I think your french-style end table is a reproduction.  It just seems very similar to the France Era Co reproductions sold here:

http://www.franceera.com/French_Antique_End_Table_1.htm

Especially the chrome plated metal accents.  However, even a fine reproduction can be valuable and I estimate your french style end table to be worth between $950 and $1200 dollars.

Your Chinese 3 legged pot bronze is estimated between $250 to $300. I know of one very similar to yours that sold for $249 in 2013 and another that sold for $456 in 2012 but it was a little more detailed and had a lid with it. You did not state the measurements it could be worth more or less depending on the size.

In great condition with no chips and only minimal wear to the gold. Roses look like they were at least partially hand painted. I have had trouble finding information on this mark "Cauldon England" opposed to "Cauldon LTD England." Can't make any sense of the numbers either. Measures about 7" high and 8" wide. Thanks in advance!

Hi Lewis,

Cauldon England and Cauldon LTD England are one and the same pottery company.  Here's a link to a little history about the company:

http://www.potteryhistories.com/cauldon.html

I would estimate your Cauldon china piece to be worth around $30-60 dollars.  Here's a hand-painted Cauldon tea pot that sold in that price range:

Hi Jodi,

I'm sure there are numerous personal computer collector and micro-mainframe collectors who would love to own your Intel collectibles.  However, I don't have much historical information to base your appraisal on, but here is one 80286 microprocessor turned into a keychain that sold for $75 dollars:

http://www.antiquesnavigator.com/d-494788/rare-vintage-intel-80286-286-lucite-keychain-with-wafer.html

Based on this single example, I would estimate your collectibles are worth around $50-100 dollars a piece.
