PLEASE HELP

Item is 17 inches tall and 24 inches round. With a 4 inch opening at top. There are no maker marks. Has very minor chips on both handles which appear to be from its original time of use. I have been trying to find out more on its origin or date of making but it is been very hard to do. I look at it and believe it is museum worthy. I want to sell it but I am lost on just how I should do it. I believe it is at least 1500 years old and a great potters wheel piece.

Hi Gwen,

Your Tin container made in England is estimated between $15 to $25. I have seen a couple of these sell at auction. I don't think they made for any special use just a decorative tin can. I have know of people to use them for tobacco. The average auction price is $20 depending on the condition such as Scratches, fading, dings, dents or tarnish.

Hope this helps,
Thanks,

Hi Kristie,
Your Wm L. Gilbert Clock Co. Coca-cola clock is estimated between $200 to $400. I know that may seem like a large gap but everything depends on who is interested and the actual date of your clock.
I did find two clocks just like yours they were made in 1916. One sold for $266.89 and the other for $366.00 2011. I think it was the same clock just two different sellers. The sold dates were about 2 weeks apart.
Below are a couple of other examples:

I was told this was called a butte dish. I am missing the butter knife and the middle plate. Photos show the marking on the bottom of the dish.

Submit your estimate of worth

Estimated Value submitted by Becky

Hi Aimee,

Your butter dish is estimated between $10 to $40. You are missing pieces and that will affect
the price. I don't believe your dish was made by
The Larkin House company established 1875 which was mainly a soap company which in later
years did produce perfumes, spices, coffee, peanut butter, furniture and china. In the 1890's they
started inserting what they called premiums in the packages of soap. This was done to get the
customers to by more soap. I can't make out the manufacturer of the dish it seems to be scratched
up.This dish may have been given to customers or even used in the Larkin House company.

Below are some examples of what a quadruple plate can bring at auction:
