Hi Connie,

Your G. Armani (Guiseppe Armani) is estimated between $20 to $30. I believe the \\\"Best Wishes from HSI\\\" was a plaque that was put there from a company giving it to someone. You did not send a picture so I can't verify that.

I have a set of bookends on the back they have in the lower right hand corner L Varonson , a circle with what looks like a c inside of it and 1925. I don't know what kind of metal they are made of but they have a gold looking coating on them.

Hi Melvin,

I have not seen a pair of End of the Trail Bookends signed by L Varonson sell at auction. There are many that have sold with no signature average price $20. There was one pair of bronze bookends of Indian on Horse signed by L. Varonson and they sold for $176.25 in 2009. I would estimate your End of the Trail bookends to be between $150 to $200.

Antique door/cabinet lock

Submitted by: Anthony
Main Image

PLEASE HELP

I don't know what this door lock was originally used for. It is metal and brass measuring 4 1/4" wide, 3 1/2" tall with a depth of about 3/4". It appears to be in perfect working condition as the handle will lock with the small knob next to it. Futhermore, there is also another locking bar down the left hand side whereby you can lock the bar in place. The emblem has "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE" and underneath is says "DIEU ET MON DROIT". I am an ex Household Cavalry Trooper so of course I am familiar with the terms which mean "Evil Be to Those That Evil Do" and "God and My Right". Any advice would be really helpful. Thank you!

PLEASE HELP

"This light/dark brown treacle glazed loving cup, issued in 1941, has handles formed by the 5 1/2 inch tall, nicely modelled figures of Roosevelt and Churchill. The body of the cup represents a globe of the world and a stream of ships and aircraft, picked out in silver mirror glaze, can be seen crossing the Atlantic from west to east. A bit of artist's license, all in the cause of a balanced design of course, has the British Isles the same length as North America from Labrador to Florida! Around the base is the inscription, "Let's drink to victory, Let's drink to peace."

I have an old New Perfection kerosene stove. It is in good condition, Just dirty from being in basement. It was still in working order around 10 years ago when it was put away. It has all parts, pieces, and accessories. It is white, oven has 2 burners under it, and there are 4 other burners. Has small shelf on top. I believe thermostat works also. Great Grandparents were using it in the 1920's, not sure how long they had it before then, but it is very old.

I have attached photos, and would be greatly appreciative if you could have a look at see whether you might be able to place an age on the item. Table is of unknown age and origin. Recently purchased from estate sale in Ireland. Photos are attached showing an ornate style leg to the table. There appears to be two types of wood used at least on the table frame itself. Any information on style. design, history etc. would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, alan
