I have a covered dish with pink hand-painted flowers with a siver overlay. It was made by Rosenthal in 1901. It is in mint condition. In all my searching for this piece I only found one picture of a piece that matches it that looked like a ginger jar. I have showed it to a couple antique dealers but can't find out anything. Good day,
I purchased this music stand from an estate. I would like an appraisal please to know it's origin,age and value.
It is a two tiered wooden stand with brass patterned trim on top, a beveled mirror insert under the top tier, a beveled glass door that tilts downwards that houses two shelves. There is also a carved wooden door that tilts downwards that houses a two filing compartments. The four feet are carved and there are also castors behind each of the feet.
The stand is approx. 100 cm high, and 45 - 50 cm wide.

Antique racing wagon..homemade from a crate, has a long tongue that the wagon handle is attached to..looks like a soap box racer except it has a wagon handle, it has wooden spoke wheels with old rubber. From talking to the person we bought it from we believe it dates back to the late 1800's. I have not been able to find anything even similar to it..I just believe it is very rare and I would like to know the value..it you can help it would be greatly appreciated..

Wow, great antique toy! When I first saw it, it reminded me of a soap box racer, but they started in Akron OH in the 1930s. I believe your antique toy racer is older. Antique soap box racers from the 1930s can sell up to $1800 dollars. I believe your antique toy racing wagon is worth around $800-1200 dollars to the right buyer. If you find a buyer, feel them out about how excited they are and then start the negotiation high. You can always go down from there.

What is the name of the 6 books? Are they part of a volume of books?
If you have the complete volume set, the six books might be worth around $1000 dollars. However, without see a photo of the books or which books you have its hard to place a firm price on them. You might want to visit a rare book store and let them make you an offer. They'll usually offer about half of what a collector will pay. They need to make money too.

over 17" tall. I've kept her wrapped and in a bag for Years. this was my Grandmother's doll. She is in her original clothing, she has porcelain head, arms, hands, chest and legs and feet.The rest of her body is stuffed I think with sawdust like material.

Vintage Poste
poster has number 80099 in lower left corner. Mural is of comical cook figures. Two have a "C" on the cook hats. I do not know what company or entity is represented in the mural, perhaps a baking company. The mural is 2'1" x 5'7". The first of the five tall round comic figures is a baker with "C on his hat, next is girl with basket of apples, holding an apple, third is dressed as an eskimo, forth is identical to the second apple basket holder and the fifth is the baker with "C" on the hat, same as first. All figures are round and big like the older Betty Boop type. Would really appreciate any help identifying the poster. I suspect it is anywhere from 1930's to 1960's. Poster has been kept rolled in a trunk for 30 or so years and is in excellent condition.

You have a poster of the Campbell Kids. The first Campbell kids advertisement was in 1904 for the Campbell Soup Company. The illustrator was Grace Drayton, a popular illustrator in her day. She originally drew Campbell Kids as average boys and girls, but she later dressed them for special activities like cooking or working as police officers. The Campbell kids were used in ads until about 1951. So you were pretty close on the time frame, your poster is from sometime between 1904 and 1951.
As far as value, it's hard to say. Luckily, advertising collectibles are pretty popular right now. I would say your poster is worth around $25-50 dollars.

Made by the Ansonia Clock Co., Brooklyn, NY, circa 1882.
The case is black enamel cast iron with 9 pieces of silver cast ornamentation. The enamel finish is original, NOT a repaint. The 16 pieces of the case need to be disassembled, cleaned, polished and waxed. The 6 pieces of ornamentation also cleaned, polished, then sealed with lacquer, NOT re-plated. The brass dial needs polishing and lacquer. This clock never came from Ansonia with a statue of something on top. In short all parts are in great shape just needing some cleaning.
The marked Ansonia movement is patent dated June, 13 1882. There is approximately $600 in restoration needed to get my clock to its like new appearance.
Clock has original Ansonia pendulum and key. The sides of the case are flanked with winged Griffins. The front and side base ornaments feature the Greek goddess Diana. The gold incising around the dial is intact, it has not been touched up. This rare Ansonia is seldom seen and never in MINT original condition. There is NO damage, nothing broken, nothing missing, just the signs of a good cleaning are evident here.. Just a few very small nicks in the black enamel.
This clock weighs 23 pounds. This weight does not include packing or boxing. Clock is 16" by 6 1/2" by 11" tall. Dial is 5 1/2" diameter.

Hello, and many thank to anyone who can help us. My parents are moving from their house in Philadelphia. Due to their age stairs are rough on them. In my helping them back we were confronted on what to do with their safe in the basement.My mother is 74 and she always remembered this safe from her then young memory as does her older sisters. We are wondering what kind of safe it is and is it worth selling (please give a ballpark figure on worth). The tumbler is made by Yale & Towne Conn. The safe still works and we have the combinations - they work on a sequence of 5 tumbler turns right, 4 left, 3 right, 2 left, 1 right. The Dimensions are 23" long/depth, 22 1/2" wide, height 26", and height with wheels 32 1/2". The weight is probably over 500lbs. I have pictures of the safe including ones with the back panel of the front door removed to show the locking mechanism & "insulation?". I'm attempting to veryify if these are real cards. Something about the sheen on the paper says that they're fake. I'm no trade-card expert, but I've never seen this series. I'm pretty certain they've been cropped. Since there's no way to upload images, I can only describe them as very similar to the Celluloid Collar cards,(the ones wiht frogs and elves on black backgrounds) but heavier stock, and a completely different artist. They feature 1.) A red elf beggining to shoot an apple off a tied-up frogs head w/ a bow and arrow. 2.)A red elf doing a sketch of a frog who is posing in the water. 3.)A red elf hanging off a piece of grass playing violin to the frog in the water below., and 4.) A frog behind sheet music with red elf leaning against a mushroom and a duck. There is print on the backs detailing: Ricksecker's skin soap, Ricksecker's reliable perfumes, Ricksecer's fifth avenue cologne and ricksecker's face powder. On the very bottom is says, "Theo. Ricksecker, New York."

B.N.D. began making dolls in the 1930s and stands for British National Dolls. In the 1930s they made china headed dolls with composition bodies, which were similar to German and French bisque head dolls. In the 1940s they only made composition dolls. During the 1950s BND produced a wide range of hard plastic dolls and were producing vinyl headed dolls, with rooted hair on hard plastic bodies by the late 1950s. They went out of business shortly after that 1950s.
Unfortunately, only have the manufacturer doesn't really help in determining a price range. British National Dolls range in price from $25 dollars to $150+. Here's one that sold for $40 dollars:

wire 24 bottle holder, weighs 6 lbs and measures 16" long x 10" 7/8 wide x 4" 1/4 High. Has a 5" 1/8 x 1" 5/8 plaque on both lower sides with embossed words "Drink Coca-Cola" and underneath that is "OKLA COCA COLA BOT CO. Carrier holder and carrier for 24 bottles weighs 4.5 lbs and is made of sturdy aluminum. Measures 17 3/8" x 11 5/8"x 3 3/4" High. "Drink Dr Pepper Good for Life appears on both long sides. "Property of Dr Pepper BOTT NG CO are in a circle with DR Pepper in the middle. The letters LI are not visible on either side of the holder. Underneath that are the names of two Texas towns DEL RIO UVALDE.The holder has 5 metal rollers that separate the bottles and the rubber is exposed on some. The 3 aluminum separators contain rust but no damage to the metal.

This is such a sweet pencil sketch. I have no idea of the age it is heavy fiber paper mounted on wood sat in a gorgeous frame of black walnut &pewter.The frame is mitered and pegged with dowels,no nails. in the lower left hand corner there are the initials ND., I think You can just tell by looking at it somebody What extreme love and care into this. She is A Christmas figurine from the early 1950's. She is in a green dress with a red coat and a red bonnet with white trim. The coat has holly berries with there leaves on it. The red coat could be part of the dress. Not sure. She is in perfect condition. Has been in my family as long as I can remember and I am 55 years old. I have a picture if there is a way to send it to you and if you would like to see it.

I am looking for a value on the Old Hickory dining set that I have. The table is rectangular, 29"x40" and has two 10" leaves. On the underside is stamped the Old Hickory Martinsville Indiana logo (oval shaped logo stamped in the wood) and the number 4080. The leaves both have a stamp that reads 65.
I have four chairs, only one is an arm chair. They have woven backs and are all stamped with the Old Hickory Martinsville Indiana logo and the number 4050. They are all sturdy and usable with no obvious damage to the wood or woven backs.
The table and chairs are in very good condition for furniture that likely dates to the first half of the 1900's and has been used until a few months ago. The table top shows expected signs of wear including some wear around the edges and a ring from a wet cup. The hardware appears all original right down to the lag bolts that hold the legs on the table which have a strange sized square head and primitive thread.
I've had difficulty finding any other complete Old Hickory dining sets, particularly with a table this large.
I would like to sell this set for a fair price in the near future.
