Here's a link to a page discussing a makers mark for WWII binoculars with the same makers mark as your set:

Coca-Cola Plates

PLEASE HELP

Hello! I collected Coca-Cola items for about 10yrs when I was younger. An old, dear family friend gave me a plate & bowl set that he said came home "from the war" (which war, I'm not sure) with his father. I'm guessing these are from the 1940s or so, if not earlier. I cannot find anything online that looks even remotely similar to these plates; however, they do have the trademark Coca-Cola logo on them. I can provide pictures!! Please call or e-mail me as soon as you can if you think you can help or can at least point me in the right direction. I'm dying to know what I've got here, and if it's rare or just a cool find. Either way, I think it's pretty cool. ;) Thanks!

Lancel Clock

Submitted by: Nelson

PLEASE HELP

I have a very unique timepiece that I purchased at an auction sale over 30 years ago. I have never seen another like it and was wondering if you had any information on it and it's possible worth. The back cover says LANCEL, MADE IN FRANCE and it was mounted on what seemed to be a broken ceramic tile when I purchased it. The front of the clock has 3, 4 point pinwheels that have numbers on the pins as well as the numbers 0 to 60 and the word FRANCE on the face. The metal on the face is gold in colour and has intricate engraving of what appear to be 2 horn-o-plenty type pots with 2 flowers in each. The hand which indicates the hour number on it sweeps across the face of the timepiece pointing at the number which indicates the minute. This timepiece is in working condition and I have attached some pictures to help try and identify it. Would you be able to assist?

Submit your estimate of worth

Estimated Value submitted by Nelson

Beautiful clock! It is very unique, that's for sure.

I would estimate the value of your Lancel clock in the $500-600 dollar range.

Thanks for sharing.

Estimated Value submitted by Guest

Since putting this timepiece up for appraisal, I have been in contact with Lancel of France several times. The final verdict is that there is not one person in the company who is able to pull any records on where or when this came from. It is a complete mystery to them how this ever got out into the market. I am hoping that there must be an expert on timepieces somewhere out there that would recognize the style and workmanship who would be able to give me an appraisal or an offer on it.

Here's one for sale on typewriter.com for $650 dollars:

However, finding a buyer at that price might prove difficult, especially in this market. According to this author, the typewriter market is full of delusional pricing and some of these same typewriters are selling for hundreds less on craigslist and elsewhere.

You have a classic typewriter and I'm sure a antique typewriter collector would love to have it in their collection.

NOV 16 19151928-1938 BOTTLE PAT'D. DEC 25 19231938-1951 BOTTLE PAT. D-1055291951-1958 US PATENT OFFICE/MIN CONTENTS 6 FL OZ1958-1965 US PATENT OFFICE/MIN CONTENTS 6 1/2 FL OZBeware that there were replicas of the BOTTLE PAT'D. DEC 25 1923 bottles made in 1989 these you can distinguish by looking for 89 embossed toward the lower waist of the bottle and the glass are more uniform than the original ones. Also you will find a 2 pairs of 2-digit code as you mentioned. One of them is the year code the 53 is what I used as a clue that it was from 1953.I hope this helps!

Hi Beverly,

If your Homer Laughlin platter is the 10" variety it's worth between $22-26 dollars. The 15" Homer Laughlin platters sell for $32-42 dollars.

Here are some further sources for Home Laughlin pricing:

Hi Beverly, It looks like you have the "Fluffy Rose" pattern with gold trim. See http://www.replacements.com/webquote/HLCFLRGT.htm to confirm it's a match. Since Replacements doesn't offer a price on the gold-trimmed platter, I recommend checking for this pattern on Google Shopping, Tias, Etsy, Ruby Lane, and Ebay to see what the asking prices are. To see sold prices (best estimation of true market value), check Ebay's completed listings search. Based on a quick search, I estimate an asking price between 20-35 depending upon condition and where you sell it. If you plan to consign it, you may achieve 10-20, again based on where you are. Some wear in the gold and marks of use on base are typical, but chips, cracks, and other damage can bring the price way down. Best wishes, Pamela http://www.etsy.com/shop/CutiestPieCreations

It didn't cost $250 it was guaranteed for up to $250 worth of clothes, in case of moth damage. From what I've gathered, depending on style and condition, they can sell for $100-$350.

Gold Locket

PLEASE HELP

Hi There, I have a gold locket bought from Fredk D. Meller Ltd Fine Jewellery in London W1 85 New Bond St. The locket was handed down by my grandmother and I suspect it is quite old, maybe antique. The locket is quite heavy for its size (approx size of a ladies thumbnail) and I suspect it is in the higher karat (no stamp) because of the colour and weight. Locket is in very good condition, has a star engraved on the front and a small emerald (again its old so it could be a diamond) but very small in the middle of the star. the only stamp is on the chain and its says GOREL GF or COREL CF not sure. I can submit a picture if needed. Thanks so much!
