guilio rosati watercolor litho print

PLEASE HELP

I have a piece of framed art work signed by artist Giulio Rosati. Just below his signature, in very small letters that require a magnifying glass to see, are the words "copyright F. H. Bresler & Co. 1902. It is in the original frame. The piece itself (minus the frame) is 18.25" wide x 22.75" tall. the frame has some chips out of it and it ( the frame) is very fragile. It is obviously a signed print. Frank Bresler, my research reveals, was a Milwaukee art dealer at the turn of the century who, in 1900 invented a new way to produce lithographs. I have reason to believ the artist G. Rosati an Orientalist did indeed sign the piece. He lived from around 1858 to 1917 I believe. I cant find price value for prints by Rosati, except modern day ones. I have pictures but dont see a way to upload them to you. K N D

Estimated Value submitted by V.B Sotherbys

I am a curator from Sotherbys auction house. Without a picture of the artwork and the frame it's difficult to say with any confidence. But if you are accurate in what you describe, any work from the turn of the century (1900-1909) from F.H Bresler & co is quite valuable. Frank Breslar founded F. H Breslar & co.in Milwaukee WI. and in 1900 he invented a new method for lithographs. He traveled to Europe quite often and he would buy masterpieces and then use his new method to print a few copies and have the artist sign the pieces. You describe just such a piece. Very rare indeed. If your's is indeed dated 1902 you have a treasured piece. Giulio Rosati was a master Orientalist from Italy. He lived from 1858-1917 like you mentioned. Mr. Breslar did have some lithos signed by this artist. Without seeing the work it's hard to say, but again, if your description is accurate, in that it states "copyright F. H. Breslar & co. 1902", under the artist signature, you have an original artist signed litho worth between $3500-$6500, maybe more at the right auction. By the way, the original is valued at $40,000. Established by a recent sale at Sotherbys in London. Congrats! Ms. Valerie Botticili

figurine White Elephant

Submitted by: emary
Main Image

PLEASE HELP

HI. I'm in the process of cleaning my mother's house; the house used to belong to my grandmother. Mom gave me a figurine that conveyed with the house in Grandma's glass display cabinet. It is literally a White Elephant, holding a bowl, with a girl holding a pitcher. It seems to be an anglican idea of an Indian scene, as the girl is white, and her face is plump, like a Gibson Girl. She is wearing a purple/white striped turban, and the figurine is embellished with copper or gold metallic paint, on the jewelry, skirt, tassels. There is a baby blue blanket on the elephant which matches blue flowers on the carrier basket on the top. The whole thing is approx. 9 inches tall, 10 in. wide. No sign of scratches. No glaze. There is a logo on the back hind leg that I can't make out, and the number 10043.

Antique Fiatelli Sewing Machine and Fold Ot Cabinet

Submitted by:
Main Image

PLEASE HELP

I was lefedet an antique Fiatelli sewing machine by my grandmother when she passed away in 1999, she was 98 years old. The machine is classic black in a Singer style with several ornate brass plates on it and gold scroll work on the sewing deck. The add on motor is made by Hudson. The only serial number I can find on the machine is stamped into the bottom of the sewing deck, it is "KK80005". The cabinet is a beatiful oak with fold out top. The machine itself is functional, well oiled and in excellent condition. I am unable to find any information on this machine but due to the fact it was made in Japan, I asume it's a post WWII spin off on a Singer. Can you at least help me find some information on it so I can sell it? Thank You for Your Expertise. Mark

Hand Cut 24% lead Crystal, mouth blown. This is what the label says. There are NO manufacturers marks. The vase is 4 3/4 inches tall and 3 inches wide. As close as I can find it appears to be Ajka Crystal. The cut portion of the vase is very white (brilliant)looking and the cobalt blue is a deep blue. It has a star pattern (looks a little like the star of david?) and little 8 point stars around that, topped off wit a fan pattern around the top of the vase. NO signature what so ever. Wish I could send pictures. I have several pieces of crystal. Any advice or answers would be welcomed! :) Tthank you!!!!

Label reads, 24 % Lead Hand cut mouth blown. This mini crystal cobalt blue vase stands 4.75 inches high and 3 inches wide. I think it may be Ajka Crystal? I have several pieces of crystal. I believe that there are 3 or 4 different types. The 3 vases are what I'm truly interested in having appraised. The cut portion is very white (brilliant)and the blue is deep blue. the pattern appears to be a star pattern (star of david/) with 8 point stars in a horseshoe type pattern around that and a larger Fan pattern around the top. There are no numbers and signature of any type on any of the vases. Any direction or help you can give me would be great! Thank you!!!

oak curio cabinet

Submitted by: Karin

PLEASE HELP

Oak curio cabinet. No curved glass on sides. Just flat glass. Mirror on back of top shelf. Shelves have plate grooves Very plain. The back panel has an engraved number near the top that looks like it could be "369". Also some chalk/paint writing that has a name and number. Only letters I can make out look like m or n and perhaps a u. number might be 247. The back looks like it has some old black tiny nails and then someone has added some screws at some time...they don't look original. Hardware is dark except for the key which is steel. It almost looks handmade. How do I send a photo? I purchased this at an antique show about 27 years ago. I have no paperwork or information about it, but would like to sell it.

Old curio cabinet purchased at an antique show 27 years ago. Made of oak, glass shelves; no curved glass. Perhaps Mission or Arts and crafts style. Back of cabinet has an engraved number that appears to be 3(?)69 in upper left. Also on back a chalk/paint scrawl that has letters that appear to contain 'm' 'n' or 'u' or just a squiggle followed by the # sign and what appears to be 247. The piece does not appear to be extremely well made, looks like some screws were added on the back in addition to some original small nails. The key on the front is steel with a "v" on it and does not seem to match the other darker hardware.

I have a matching set to these i found on a web page for a London science and medical history museum. they gave very little insight to what there main purpose was, then alone to give a price. I have seen others online but the 2 sets i did see didnt have the same back clasp mine actually have a patent date if you flip up the first clasp it says "PAT.APL.22.73.NOV.10.10.NOV.15.81 and behind the second Clasp after the enema it reads PAT'D AUG.24.1880. Also I have noticed on the first one the stem piece leading to the clasp is a signature stamp i guess of a upside down horse shoe with a clover in the middle. Also on the other one is a signature stamp reading "OM" ive looked it up and then only thing i came across that i thought could be possible was "Order of merits"

This is a Child's Wagon similar to the original "Radio Flyer" wagon series. However, this wagon was produced for Hi-Lo Grocery stores in the 1950's, as a promo for the store. Many of the wagon's were sold at Hi-Lo Grocery stores in the Chicago area. I have only been able to find limited info. about them, and do not know if they have any value. This wagon was found in New Buffalo, Michigan an is in good shape for its age (50-60yrs. old) and still retains 85% of its original paint & lettering. If you would like to see a photo of it, please e-mail me, at sbes@mail.com Please let me know if you have any further information, and an estimated range of their value, or if you can refer me to another website.

many times that coming up after the break hes got the most amianzg thing youve ever seen in your life so stick around.ive seen so many of these offers of best thing ever that i wasnt sure if they indeed actually werent the excitingest.dons slip with pokemon cards i actually saw that episode and it was def a mess.maybe he just mispronounced the word but it sounds like hes not a truly avid collector.another thing was him and the sales of beanies.it was something else.it reminded me of a grizzly bear selling mittens lol.they offered up good deals but alot of those beanie babies today would be worth far less than you thought unless 1st gen as those are into the big digits occasionally like over $1,000.they had deals for $200-$2000.even though they want your money its a nice product as everyone and their mum got involved.id tune in for hours every weekend and often times during the week just to catch a glimpse of the latest items.blue chips were ok but i wasnt always super duper impressed but nice stuff thrown in.now the because we cans were extraoirdinary.they were 6-10 xs the value.you couldnt go wrong but there was repeated things that youd need to sell off as how many would you need of it.the 30 gem mint 10 roookie cards for $300 was awesome.they werent exactly cheapo cards either necessarily.how you couldnt double or tripe your money theres beyond me.problem is if you ordered something from them a week or two later youd see the most amianzg thing youve ever seen in your life and you were almost or completely broke now as you ordered 5 packages of because we cans or something like that.it was a catch 22 escapade 24/7 it seemed.no problemo if you had a million dollars but even then i wouldve borrowed from the piggy bank so much id be broke green wise but have wonderful assets in which id get my moohlah back with big profit potential im positive.
