PLEASE HELP

A pair of 2 left and right figurines are in beautiful conditon, made in occupied Japan during WWII. The man is standing on the inside on both of them. Unlike most I have seen these are approx. 7" inches tall and 4 1/2" inches along the base. Also these are not painted glossy. They are hand painted in a matte pastel and rough to the touch. This is a European 1700's couple with the woman seated and the man standing next to her holding his feathered hat against his body Photo available upon request.
