Extremely Rare Coca Cola Advertising Ware Insulex Ice Bucket – Circa 1963

Description

Extremely rare and lovely kitsch atomic red Insulex ice bucket advertising ware for Coca Cola, circa 1963. The bucket bears the slogans “Drink Coca Cola” and “things go better with Coke rum – gin whisky brandy vodka” accompanied by “trade mark regd” and all embossed in gold writing to opposite sides of the bucket. The bucket has an off-white liner which in earlier days would probably have been white.

This would have graced the bar in pubs etc. in the UK in the 1960’s and seems to have been a UK domestic market item, as these do not appear in any of the American collectors catalogues.

There are some small marks and scratches as you would expect in an item of this type and age, and some small losses of gold to the top handle and embossed writing.

The ice bucket stands approximately 20cm high and is approximately 17cm in diameter at it’s widest point.
