Thank you for the info! I agree mine does look a lot like the red painted maple chest you put a link to. My dresser has that style where the top of the larger drawers sticks out over the the lower three and the turned leg comes up under the top drawer as if to support it. Do you know what this style is called or time period? I guess the step back refers to the smaller drawers on top? My has two rows of those which seems to be rare – as I have only found one other chest with that. Do you know anything about the glass pulls? They are pretty neat! I have seen a few pieces with similar pulls. Can they be used to date an item? They also seem rather unique.
