KeymasterHello,
Excellent padlock! Winchester tools and padlocks are highly collectible. There are reproductions but I believe your Winchester antique padlock is the real deal.
Here are some examples of the same padlock that sold in the past:
https://www.antiquesnavigator.com/d-337931/original-brass-winchester-padlock-w-original-key.html
https://www.antiquesnavigator.com/d-540570/winchester-brass-padlock-wkey-excellent-condition.html
Condition is very important and your padlock seems to be in excellent condition. You don’t show the back, but as long as it looks as good as the front, in my opinion your Antique Winchester padlock is worth between $300-600 dollars.

KeymasterHello,
The painting of the ship at sea is by Hewett Jackson:
Your painting is a copy…similar to this one:
https://www.brickalleyco.com/products/vintage-seascape-oil-painting-3
Your painting of the cows reminds me of paintings by Barney Smith in Australia, but your painting is signed by the Author O’Brien
https://www.invaluable.com/artist/smith-barney-evk4eknir3/
O’ Brien is probably one of many unknown American artists.
As far as the painting with the name and address of the auction house, I would call them! They might remember the painting and the artist and give you more info.
I hope this all helps!

KeymasterBrass rubbings were very popular during the Victorian period in England but still continue to this day. Brass rubbings are created by laying a sheet of paper on top of a monumental commemorative brass plaque commonly found in churches. I believe your rubbings are “positive” rubbings where the original “negative rubbing” was rubbed over with a rag soaked in waterproof black ink and then colored (in this case colored blue).

https://www.stmartin-in-the-fields.org/visit/things-to-see-and-do/
https://www.mbs-brasses.co.uk/brass-rubbing
As far as value…rubbings are fairly easy to perform and are not very valuable. I would estimate your brass rubbings are worth between $50-200 dollars.

KeymasterWell, the last patent number is from 1940, so we know your heavy floor lamp is from 1940s to present! The last two patents show the inventor as Vermont Follet.
https://patents.google.com/patent/US2278720A/en
I believe Vermont Follet was born in 1898 and died in 1955…but the trail ends there (or it could be the wrong Vermont Follet).
http://thegreenhills.org/pioneers/b963.htm
In my opinion, your heavy floor lamp from the 1940s or 1950s is worth between $50-300 dollars. I know that’s a big range, but this is more art than antique (antiques are defined as 100 years or older). It’s close to an antique, another 20 or 30 years…
Here are the past sales I based my appraisal on:
I just used the antiquesnavigator search page and searched for “floor” and “lamp” with these results:
I’m sorry it took me so long to reply to your request! Thank you for sharing…I think it’s a wonderful floor lamp…so much history!

KeymasterHello jgrissom61,
I believe your original off-the-wall rag doll from the 1950’s is worth between $75-100 dollars.
I based this appraisal on the following similar rag dolls currently for sale and some that sold in the past:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/225323530160
Thanks for sharing and I’m sure the little girl who played this your doll back in the 1950s absolutely loved her!

KeymasterMy dad got back to me on your Yale “The DH” railroad padlock. Condition is very important to collectors, since your padlock is in pretty rough condition, my dad believes its worth between $40-50 dollars.
I hope this helps!

KeymasterHi art.veino,
The Champion 6 lever / Miller padlock is very common…it’s worth between $20-50 dollars.
However, the Yale padlock marked “The DH” is a railroad padlock and worth a little bit more…let me check with my dad. He’s been collecting antique padlocks since the late 1970s.
Here is some provenance showing it’s a railroad padlock:
https://www.angelfire.com/biz/toysoldierhq/Yalelocks.html
Let me get back to you on the Yale “The DH” padlock…I’ll get estimated pricing for you, I just don’t want to give you a bad number.

KeymasterWow, yes, that is a cool looking Yale padlock. You’re correct, it is very unusual and I haven’t seen one either. Your padlock is a pin-tumbler style lock that dates back to the ancient Egyptians. Modern pin tumbler padlocks were first invented in 1848 by Linus Yale and his son made some small improvements.
https://www.precision-locksmiths.co.uk/a-history-of-locks/
The “bad” news, unfortunately your yale padlock is very poor condition. It looks it was used hard and for a long time! It’s very beat up!
It took me a while, but I finally found your padlock (or a very, very similar padlock) in our antiques archive.
Here is your padlock that sold in the past for $42 in very good condition:
I would estimate your antique yale padlock to be worth between $30-80 dollars based on the one example I could find. However, your padlock might not command the same pricing, because of the poor condition it is in, so price it accordingly.
Thanks for sharing! Very cool padlock!

KeymasterHi Dan,
During the late 19th century there were dozens of antique stove manufacturers. I’m not familiar with the Willard model no 25. However, it probably looked very similar to these models shown in these advertisements from that era:
Here is a catalog showing many more cast iron stoves manufactured during that period:
https://digital.cincinnatilibrary.org/digital/collection/p16998coll76/id/4127
I hope this helps.

Your Hand Adams vase is a one of a kind (or 1 in 50) and really the only way to know how much it’s worth is to put it up for sale and ask for offers.
Using past sales as as guide:
https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/59803300_blenko-no-9435-glass-hank-adams-figural-devil
One might venture to reason, your Hank Adams piece is worth between $360 and $650 dollars. However, to the right collector it might be worth quite a bit more and there is always the possibility it’s a forgery. I’m not expert on Blinko glassware, so it might be worthwhile to get a 2nd opinion from these Blenko experts:
http://www.blenkocollectors.com/welcome.html
Thanks for sharing…it’s a very unique piece!

KeymasterHi jessicamaeswink,
Thank you for writing in! Based on the following searches:
https://www.antiquesnavigator.com/d-1459013/excellent-antique-vintage-us-postcard-lot-1000-pcs.html
I would estimate your post card collection if sold all together is worth between $250-300. That equates to roughly 16 cents to 20 cents each. I’m sure there are some postcards in your collection that would individually sell a lot higher, but selling them one-by-one would be a lot of work and might not be worth it. Many post card collectors like to purchase large groups to have the fun of sorting and examining them.
I hope this helps.

KeymasterHi Swiegels,
I believe your piece is from the early to mid twentieth century. I’m not even certain it’s milk glass and it might be porcelain.
A little history about milk glass:
https://www.txantiquemall.com/vintage-milk-glass/
In my opinion your serving dish is worth between $10-20 dollars.
Here is an example of a similar piece that sold in that price range in the past:
