ParticipantI have a garage sale find that I’d like to have more info on. Not sure if it’s a hydrometer or a barometer thermometer. It is a desk top instrument. Also love some info as to age & value. I’ve done tons of research but am hitting dead ends. Please help.

Tim ManasterskiKeymasterA. S. Aloe operated from 1860-1959, so your thermometer/barometer is from that time period. It wasn’t until 1905 that the company was called A.S. Aloe Co, so I believe your piece is from between 1905 and 1959.
As far as value, I would estimate its worth between $50-250 dollars. The large dent on the top detracts from its value and whether its working or not would also affect its value. Here is how I came up with that range:
