Participanti recently acquired a pacific coast candy company antique tin. it is branded “swastika brand” which after research i have discovered that it was used as a brand before the symbol was adopted by the nazi. my knee jerk reaction was shock, but after discovering the history, i feel that this might have value. any info would be appreciated.

Tim ManasterskiKeymasterYes, before the Nazis, the swastika was considered a symbol of good luck, which still applies in India today. Here’s a similar tin that sold in the past:
I don’t think the Swastika brand brings much to the table as far as value. It’s a conversation starter, but I would estimate the value of your Swastika brand tin in the $10-20 dollar range.

ParticipantMyMy great Aunt Charlotte left me a couple of old tins. One an American Biscuit Co Snowflake tin. Blue in color with hinged lid. Sporting a Swastika emblem. The other is a tall red Schilling coffee canister with a lift off lid. Interested in a value for them.
