Vintage (Mr. Smoke ?) Lighters – Earl, Kingston. Made in Japan

Hi, I acquired about 500 of these lighters on closeout from my distributor who acquired them as part of a closeout from another distributor a number of years ago. My guess (based on product packaging is they were from the early 70’s or early 80’s but they I’ve spoken with a few shops in the state and based on my description they indicated they are probably older. There is no additional information provided and I’ve seen similar that use gasoline (?) instead of butane so I’m not ever sure how to fill them.
