ParticipantI have these two antique railroad padlocks that I have had in a drawer for a long time. Can you help with their value if I were to offer them for sale?

KeymasterHi art.veino,
The Champion 6 lever / Miller padlock is very common…it’s worth between $20-50 dollars.
However, the Yale padlock marked “The DH” is a railroad padlock and worth a little bit more…let me check with my dad. He’s been collecting antique padlocks since the late 1970s.
Here is some provenance showing it’s a railroad padlock:

Let me get back to you on the Yale “The DH” padlock…I’ll get estimated pricing for you, I just don’t want to give you a bad number.

KeymasterMy dad got back to me on your Yale “The DH” railroad padlock. Condition is very important to collectors, since your padlock is in pretty rough condition, my dad believes its worth between $40-50 dollars.
I hope this helps!
