ParticipantI recently purchased a cute cat piggy bank.
I have seen several others online which are listed as Rosenthal “Bitossi Remini”, but they are all pink with orange markings.
The form seems to be identical, but the casting of this one is blue with no accent color.
It had one marking on the bottom which says Italy.
Was wondering if anyone had any additional info to identify this item?

KeymasterIt doesn’t look like Rosenthal to me, all the Rosenthal cat’s I find are done in a more realism style:
Your piece is a more stylized or nonrealistic depiction of a cat. I would estimate its value in the $10-20 dollar range:

ModeratorHi Sharon,
I have not seen a Aldo Londi ceramic cat exactly like the one you have with the big bow.
Aldo Londi was appointed artistic director at Bitossi in 1946 he held that position for over 50 years and created thousands of designs. He is known for the Rimini Blue Cat for Rosenthal Netter. If yours is an original I would estimate it to be worth between $100 to $250.
Below are some examples:You may also want to check out the below link on how to determine if your Aldo Londi for Bitossi is a fake.
