I have a very old and quite rare rigging tool I’d like a value on before I sell it.
    It’s a sailers spike penknife.
No visible marks apart from the makers mark, Atkins Bros Sheffield (note: NOT Atkinsons)
I originally thought the handle covers were mother of pearl but know I believe they are cow horn.

I would be grateful for more information about this particular item as I’ve only been able to find 2 photos of the exact same design online.
I’m going to be selling the tool soon so it would be helpful.

    Hi,
I have not seen one exactly like yours but I haven’t seen any sell at auction for more than $36. If you have sold yours I would like to know what you sold it for.
    Thanks,

Not sold it yet but an exact same one in similar condition sold in the U.S. for $260
Managed to find that reference online after a lot of searching.
