Net search suggests these cups and saucers may be handpainted Royal Doulton pansies. But the only marking is on saucers R.NO. 56516. No marking on cup base. Any help with identifying potter and whether they hold any value would be appreciated.

    HI,
Sorry, but I believe these are a reproduction. Every piece of Royal Doulton I have seen are stamped Royal Doulton made in England on the bottom. The numbers on the back of Doulton pottery are to indicate the approximate date range when the marked item was first introduced. Some will have a HN on them which refers to designer Harry Nixon.
    Thanks,
