I have a pot belly stove that is at least (maybe more than) 100 years old. It says Ideal Oak No 517. I cant find anything about Ideal Oak. Just wondering if its worth anything. I assume its cast iron. Unfortunately i cant get a picture of the front because it is stored up against a wall but i have a picture of the back side.

    Hi Christine,
The Ideal Oak Parlor Stove was manufactured around 1909 and sold for $11.50. I do know of a Ideal-Oak Landers Co. Syracuse NY door that sold for $24.99.
I would estimate your stove to be worth between $200 to $600 depending on the condition, is it workable, has the rust made holes in it.. If you restore it you should be able to get more. The most popular is the Round Oak parlor stove which can sell for as much as $1500. It may be worth having an appraiser come out to appraise it. At least call some antique stores in your area.

    Hope this helps,
