KeymasterWell, the last patent number is from 1940, so we know your heavy floor lamp is from 1940s to present! The last two patents show the inventor as Vermont Follet.

I believe Vermont Follet was born in 1898 and died in 1955…but the trail ends there (or it could be the wrong Vermont Follet).

In my opinion, your heavy floor lamp from the 1940s or 1950s is worth between $50-300 dollars. I know that’s a big range, but this is more art than antique (antiques are defined as 100 years or older). It’s close to an antique, another 20 or 30 years…
