ParticipantMy family brought this back from Germany in the 70’s. My German Onkle had it and passed it to my father. The door at the top opens to hold a coffee or tea pot. It is unmolested and in beautiful shape. I believe it was made 1875 – 1890. May be listing for sale or trade for nice camping trailer.

KeymasterThat’s a amazing cast iron parlor stove! I love it. I would estimate its value in the $1500-3500 dollar range, but that’s a pretty rare piece. I’ve never seen one like it and it would have been fairly difficult to import that item from Germany to the US in the 1970s. It might be more common in Germany, but here it’s rare. I’m sorry, I don’t recognize the manufacturer. There were hundreds in the US, I’m sure there were many manufacturers in Germany in the latter half of the 19th century too.
