We have been searching and searching to find something similar to what we have on our hands. We have a set of 3 …not sure whether to call them stools or end tables or consoles?? They flip open from the top with brass hinges. No visual nails. The wood joinery we can’t even find online. They are definitely beautifully hand made. There are no markings other than carpenters markings of vii and A. The feet bottom have straight saw lines. Everything we found similar was English circa 18th century but can not find anything with the flip top. It is made from gorgeous tiger maple. But again has to be extremely rare find as we are all flabbergasted that we are not able to find anything like it online.
