Black cat Halloween stuffed plush very old head turns

First a tech note: the .jpg uploader on this page is not working so I cannot upload any of the dozen photos I have taken of this toy. I would be happy to attach them or upload them some other way by request. Now:

This old straw stuffed cat is 11 inches high to the arch of his back, 5 inches wide and 19 inches long from nose to tip of tail. He is pretty rigidly stuffed and crunches when squeezed, probably with straw but there are no openings to reveal inside – wood wool filled? His eyes are glass, yellow with black pupils. He has a pink thread nose, an open red velvet mouth, and a white or cream colored face. He does not have felt foot pads. His head revolves at his neck. His covering seems like mohair and his long tail is very dense and fluffy, must be natural hair of some kind, fairly coarse. He looks old to me, but he has really held together because of heavy duty stitching. I would love to know who made him and where, and what he’s worth, but I see no trace of any tag. Does anyone know this stray? Thanks!
