aAltrohlau had five factories. Several factories marked their porcelain Altrohlau. Thus far, I have discovered one factory that was named Altrohlau Porcelain Factories.
Altrohlau Porcelain Factories, when owned by CM Hutschenreuther from 1909 to 1939. See HaBlacher – Nowotny – Moritz Zdekauer on the Marks Table.
bKarlsbad (German spelling with a “k”) or Carlsbad (Engish spelling with a “c”), presently Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic had one factory in the town. However, several factories marked their porcelain Karlsbad because their location was in a suburb of Karlsbad. Additionally, there were decorating studios, importer offices or factory headquarters in Karlsbad.
Carlsbad China Factory was a label used by a decorating studio in Altrohlau (Stara Role), operated by New York importer Charles Ahrenfedt & Son 1880-1910.
Karlsbad Porcelain Factory Carl Knoll, 1848-1945 was located in Fischern (Rybare).
Carlsbad Porcelain Factory Concordia brothers Low & Co., 1919-1937 had a factory in Lessau (Lesov).
cKlosterle, Bohemia (presently Klasterec, Czech Republic) had 5 factories. One factory was Count Thun’s Porcelain Factory. There were four other separate factories that merged into one (with a fifth factory in Turn), Porcelain Union United Porcelain Factories AG.
