PLEASE HELPI have a karpen chair, I've seen pictures of similar items but not the exact same one. I've read on different websites about the chairs being worth up to 2,000. And on ebay they are expensive. Any idea of the value on a bulky cloth n wooden chair? Submit your estimate of worth |

Hi Tara, I don't think your antique karpen chair is worth anywhere near $2000 dollars. I would think the $200-300 dollar range would probably be more appropriate, but that's just my opinion. Condition is king in the antique world and your chair looks pretty rough and needs reconditioning. It also appears to be missing a part on the right arm rest at the top. A carpenter could make the part using the other side as a template and a wood lathe, but I doubt it would be inexpensive part to make. |
