PLEASE HELP

Sorry if this is a duplicate, but my frist request is not showing anywhere. Being new to the site I thought it prudent to resubmit. I recently puchased a small Inuit scuplture entitled Tundra. I've seen similiar one on the web. The difference with mine is that it seems to have the artist mark that can be seen on the back under Tundra. Could someon advise me of the value and/or provide any information about the mark. Thank you

Hi Jacques,

Sorry we missed your request the first time and thanks for your patience.

Your soapstone Intuit statue is a piece of folk art and since its hand-made its value is in the eye of the beholder.  I would guess your small sculpture would sell for around $10-30 dollars, but again its a piece of art, so it could sell for much more to the right buyer.

A similar statue when up for auction about a week ago, but it didn't sell.  The starting price was $9.99.

I hope this information helps.  Good luck to you.
