PLEASE HELP

I live in Virginia and there are tons of antiques to be had here. I found this pair of candlesticks at a thrift store. I did the magnet test and it passed for brass. I can't find them anywhere on the internet. They have a bird on one side and a dragon on the other on the 3rd tier down. On the 2nd tier, there is a face on each side. They stand 13.5 inches tall. They come apart in 5 pieces. It also appears that they have some sort of writing on the base tier. On the bottom is a sticker that says Quality, made in taiwan with the letters pwf. I would love to know what they are and their value.

Hi Devanie,

Taiwan didn't start exporting heavily until the 1970s, so your brass candlesticks are more than likely from the  1970s-1980s or newer.   From a antique stand point, they are relatively new.  In fact, some collector only reserve the word antique for items that are 100 years old or older.

Made in taiwan products normally do not have a lot of value.  I would give your brass candlesticks an estimated value of between $12-24 dollars.
