PLEASE HELP

I have a wooden naked lady nutcracker. She sits up and appears to have an African face. Her legs spread to crack the nuts. I have had her for about 10 years and think I picked up at a yard sale or Flea Market. She is in great shape but I have never used her for cracking a nut. For I want to keep her that way. I have no idea how old she is and have searched the Internet to find out any information. I keep finding the one that lays down and is a little similar that every thinks is from the 50"s or 60's. To me this one appears to be older than that and the features are very different in the face and all. I would like to find out anything about her or do I have the only one in the world. That's what it feels like with all the searching I have done. So any information and what it is worth would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Teresa

Hi Teresa,

Your wooden lady nutcracker is worth $50-100 dollars.  Hand-made antiques from Africa are fairly common and do not bring a premium since some many were produced.  Since they are hand-made, every one is unique and different, but rarely sell for over $150 dollars.

I hope this information helps and thanks for sharing!
