Hello! I am new here and hoping to find some information about an old Deep Freezer from the 1950s.

This freezer was owned by one person (my grandmother) and she recently passed away. She had bought this deep freezer new in the 1950s and it has been used/ran ever since. After being moved to my home I plugged it in and it got cold FAST and stayed cold!

I was unable to find any other matching freezer online, until I finally found the vintage ad for it on Amazon.

This freezer is a General Motors Frigidaire freezer, the ad says that it is 11.7 cu ft and holds up to 400lbs of frozen foods.
Has a little dirt on it from the 75 to 80 years of use, but otherwise looks to be in great shape.

I would be happy to get any and all info in regards to it’s current worth!

    Thanks!

Frigidaire was owned by GM between 1919 to 1979, but since you’re family bought it brand new, we know absolutely you’re Frigidaire freezer is from the 1950s! To still work after 68 years is a testament to American quality!

I would estimate your 1950’s GM Frigidaire freezer is worth between $100-200 dollars. I don’t think there is a huge demand for 1950s freezers or vintage freezers, but at the very least someone can still use it. It someone was trying to outfit their entire home with 1950s appliances, your freezer would be very sought after. I doubt there are many of them left.
