ParticipantI recently purchased a set of 3 demitasse cups and saucers.
As you will see from the marks on the bottom, they say Capo di Monte 745, but lack any of the Capo di Monte marks.
They look fairly identical to some cherubs cups I have seen sold here and other places, but lack the additional colors traditionally seen on this pattern.
I am curious to know if they are indeed Capo di Monte, and what era they are from?

ParticipantActually, I stand corrected. Once I checked the saucers, I found that there was a mark, and it is the mark from 1830-1890 when the Ginori factory, which wasn’t actually in Naples, was making Capo di Monte items. Still not entirely clear what the 745 is, but I know there’s also a 738.
This is fascinating, I’m learning a lot!
