ParticipantThis portrait was left to me by my mother when she passed. It’s been in our family for years. I would like to know what the value is if possible. This is an original drawing, not sure what was used to draw it looks like pastels and it’s really old and some of the color appears to be rubbing off.
Any help would be appreciated.Attachments:

Becky Jones OhdeModeratorHi,
Mayer, Merkel & Ottmann, Lith., N,Y, was a lithograph company that operated from 1874 to 1885. A lithograph is a type of printing precess used to reproduce original works of art. I may not be telling you anything you don’t already know, but with that being said if you have an original print I couldn’t begin to tell you the value. It would be museum worthy. If you think that is what you have I would take it to a art dealer for further evaluation.
Sorry I couldn’t help you more,

What did the art gallery say about it?
