ParticipantHi Becky, I have this antique doll, I think it’s papier mache, and I’d like to know what it’s worth. The pieces are in good shape, except for chipping paint. Each section is 4″ , so it’s approx 12″ tall together. There is no clothing.
Thanks so much

Becky Jones OhdeModeratorHi Chris,
I would estimate your Papier Mache doll to be worth between $25 to $60 as is. It looks to me that the head is not the original. It looks to have a wax covering and the body does not. The more information you can give about the item being sold at auction the more you will get for it. For example : Are there any markings? Is it German, Russian, American, French? What time period was it made? These are some of the questions you may be ask if trying to get a higher price. I have seen them go for as high as$4000. You may want to have it looked at by a collector before selling if you think it is possible worth more than the estimate I gave you.
Hope this helps,
