    Hello!
    I found this beautiful framed art in a small town city garage sale. The frame is carved in a lightweight piece of wood. I’ve researched the artist, A. DEVERIA, and have looked at his drawings very close. I have not found any of them that have this ornate drawn frame as shown in the picture. The coloring looks hand colored and not printed. I think that my picture is possibly an original hand colored lithograph. Could you please review and tell me your thoughts please?

    I’m a little out of my element appraising art, but here’s my take:

    Devéria, Achille Jacques Jean Marie — born 1800 – died 1857

    It appears your artwork is a lithograph:

    “To put it simply, a lithograph is a type of printing process used to reproduce original works of art.”

    I would estimate your lithograph from original Deveria artwork is worth between $150-750 dollars:

    Thank you for reviewing my art piece and giving me that information. I appreciate it very much!
    Would you know where I could look to see all of his artwork? There is where I hope to find the name of this drawing. I see “R?CNE DE LOUIS XVI” and “ANNEE 1774” above each figure and I wonder if it’s of their wedding day outfits or courtship? Do you know who they are by chance?

    Hi Tonya,
    I can not tell you if this is an original or not by a picture. I do know of one Regne De Louis and Annee 1774 copy of a lithograph exactly as the one you have, sold at auction for $11.99 in 2016.
