    Hi all. We recently inherited these two chairs and have determine they are Oddvin Rykken designed from the 1970’s. Does anyone know what the original upholstery looked like on these particular chairs? They are in good condition and we are wondering of a possible value. Did see a chair exactly like these with new upholstery on a site in Norway that is selling for $4000. Is that a fair value?

    If you can find a buyer at $4000, its a fair value. Furniture is art and the pricing is pretty much up to the seller. Would I buy a $4000 dollar chair? No, I wouldn’t dream of it, but I’m sure there are collectors out there that might and sometimes do pay that much for something they love.
