ParticipantMorning! I have recently purchased a Wehrle Co. Wood Cook Stove. It is in fair condition, a little rust, just needs a lot of elbow grease from sitting in a garage for 20+ years. As far as we know everything is there, just a couple of handles missing along with the temp gauge. I have found the plate on the side of it saying, Colonial, than some numbers, Newark Ohio. I see from the articles I have read we believe it might be from the 1900’s – 1930’s. We are just curious of the value. We intend in using it once cleaned. Any information is greatly appreciated!

KeymasterI believe in its current condition your Wehrle wood cook stove is worth between $200-400 dollars. Fully restored, I think you might be able to get around $400-900 dollars for your stove. I think it was probably made in the 1920s, based on the style of the stove. Here are some similar stoves that sold in that price range:

ParticipantThanks for the information. We plan on refinishing it and using it in our cabin. It will come in handy when we move to live off the grid.
