    Hi Mike,
    This is a chafing dish, it is used to keep food warm. From what I can tell by the picture this is one that uses a tea light and not electric. It looks like one that is used to keep appetizers or gravy warm. I would estimate your Silver Serving Dish to be worth between $11 to $16.
