Vintage Forged Fighter

Description

Knife features a blade forged from a file and a cast iron forged quillon/guard that is pegged in place (not soldered) with no play.  Blade is .222″ thick and .995″ deep with hidden tang construction. Genuine stag handle with nice patina. Pinned non-magnetic nickel silver pommel. Unusual Wharncliffe blade shape designed for slashing and thrusting. Thick spine but knife handles nicely due to its flat ground blade. Measures 14 1/4“ overall with a 9 3/4“ long blade. Overall, a very large and handsome fighting knife perfect for your Civil War or Western collection!
