ParticipantI found pieces of an old cast iron stove, labeled “PAT’D 1881”, “LOUISVILLE, KY”, “No 25”, “WILLAR” and “MNF.rd BY” in the ruins of a cabin that figures into an historical article I’m writing. Photos of the pieces are attached. I would like to incorporate any info you might know about this stove into the article; particularly if you have a photo of a complete stove. I would give you credit for this info.

KeymasterHi Dan,
During the late 19th century there were dozens of antique stove manufacturers. I’m not familiar with the Willard model no 25. However, it probably looked very similar to these models shown in these advertisements from that era:
