    Hey there!
I have posted this on several groups and sites on the internet with little response or help in identifying or appraising this piece. So any help at all is a win in my book!
Purchased this piece at an estate sale. Fairly large and heavy. 40” x 30”. I suspect either thin brass or copper to be the metal. It is heavy but fairly pliable. When I got it, it was flaking on the front side so I used a cloth and rubbed all of the flaking pieces off.. not sure if that helps to identify the material used.
The embossing/chasing is very detailed and I’m curious if these types of pieces are stamped out in factories these days and sold at home goods stores as faux relic decor or if this is a unique piece. The fact that scouring the internet has not led to a hint of another reproduction gives me some hope.
The scene pictured appears to be Asian or middle eastern folklore, at my best and uninformed guess. Someone told me the garb and column style in the background point to the Middle East.
It appears to be 3 women entertaining (or possibly imposing on, by facial expressions) 2 men who have books, food, wine and instruments at their disposal in a palace type setting. Or possibly the other way around.
There is no signature or makers mark on the piece. Thank you so much for reading and helping in any way possible.
    Regards
