Hello everyone, This is a wonderful bright and highly decorated cup and saucer from the Chubu China collection using ‘Cherry Exclusive’. Footed set with beautiful pattern and lots of gilt work on both pieces, scroll handle with heavy gilt. Bright strong colors show off this set in all its beauty. Size: Cup: stands 1-7/8″ and is 3-3/4″ in diameter plus scroll handle which rises above rim of cup. Footed gold trim on the rim handle and base, panel work around inside of cup with an ornate hand painted scene, out side of the cup is also highly decorated. Saucer: stands 7/8″ and is 5-3/8″ in diameter, same ornate pattern used with scalloped edges and gold trim plus gilt work.Markings; CHUBU CHINA, icon, Hand Painted, Cherry Exclusive, ‘1884’ on the saucer.This extraordinary looking set is in excellent condition, no chips cracks or crazing this set will light up any collection highly decorated and a real eye catcher
