I’m definitely not an expert on art, but I think your oil painting looks pretty amateurish. The contrast and lighting on the clothing is very plain. The brush strokes are in a very “painterly” style, but I don’t see anything special about the ambiance of the painting.
That being said, art is all in the eye of the beholder, and the above is completely my opinion. Someone else might find the painting fascinating and would totally disagree with me.
