Civil War Era Knife??

Well, it certainly looks old, maybe it’s civil war era. Do you have an provenance? Why do you think its from the civil war era? I believe it was probably handmade or made by a blacksmith. The bent tip would a condition issue and lower the price point and the initials are just hand engraved, so they don’t help identify the knife.
