ParticipantSo i was at a local thrift store looking for items to use in my wedding decor. I came across this beautiful and outrageuosly heavy lamp. I believe it is brass (has oxidation on clawed feet) and marble or alabaster. I wanted to turn it into a desert stand but was wondering if it may not be a good idea to do so. I have already disassembled the lighting equip and planned on rewiring with original parts when i was finished with it.on it has no markings or stickers that i can see. it was missing its original finial also. Just thought would be awesome if anyone had any iinfo on it. Thanks

KeymasterHi Taliaem,
I think it’s a great idea to turn your thrift store lamp into a desert stand. You probably could reassemble the lamp back together when the wedding is over or just sell it as a desert stand afterwards.
