ParticipantAntique Champion “M” Clock by Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co. from Winsted, Connecticut. I believe it may be a Gingerbread Mantel Clock and am interested in any information you may have regarding year of creation etc. Please.

Becky Jones OhdeModeratorHi,
I would estimate your Champion M Clock to be worth $110 to $170 in today’s market depending on working order.

Hope this helps,

ParticipantI still would like to know more about it. The Clock-smith thinks mid to late 19th Century? Is there somewhere I can learn more? Thank you.

Tim ManasterskiKeymasterHere’s a link to more information about the Gilbert Clock Co.
I think your clock was manufactured by the William L. Gilbert Clock Corporation which formed from the prior older company on July 20, 1934 and closed in 1954 when it was taken over by General Computing Machines Corporation.
