Large high security railroad padlock (type currently in use by many railroads) made by Sargent and Greenleaf.  No railroad markings, good working condition but with a few scrapes.  No key.

"World's Underground Railways" by F. Henry Howson, London, 1964.   Fully illustrated (black and white photos and charts) hardcover, approximately 6 x 9 inches with 128 pages, descibing the most notable underground railways in the world at the time.  Extremely good condition inside and out, dust jacket fully intact.

Vintage booklet listing schedule of wages for Engineers, Fireman, and Hostlers for the Michigan Central Railroad Company, division of the New York Central Lines.  Dated 1920, Detroit Mich.  Paperback, 66 pages, approximately 4 x 6 inches.  Mint condition with minor crease on front cover.


German WW II Railroad Lantern

Vintage World War II german railroad lantern.  Steel, may have been originally galvanized, with brass carbide burner insert.  Marked on top of chimeny J. C. Giessing, Nurnberg 1942.  Rear door stamped with DR and eagle holding swastika.  Condition very good and all intact, but has been cleaned and shows some corrosion spots.

Railroad Lantern/Lamp A unique railroad lamp/lantern that stands 11 in. tall. Marked Oxwell RR Lamp. Uses water and carbide to produce acetylene gas. Model A Union Carbide. 5.25 in. diam. lens glass. Diecast aluminum body and base. Marked RR on top of exhaust cap teh Oxwell RR Service Co. New Yor N Y Chicago Ill. Pat. Pending. The base is 6.5 in. diameter. 2 pc. riveted wood handle. Base is marked A8721 and Newton in a raised rectangle. An unusual addition to your lantern collection.
