DC Comics 1995 Mr. Freeze pewter figurine, MIB, COA, LE

DC Comics 1995 Mr. Freeze pewter figurine, MIB, COA, LE. This includes the 3D hand crafted sculpture with open book base (all cast together) and the classic first comic book cover in a frame. This is 5.38 Troy Ounces of fine pewter. This is from the Fine Pewter Collector Series, Comic Book Champions by DC Comics pewter figurine series No. 2 (Modern Age). This is mint in the original box and never removed and includes Hand Numbered certificate of authenticity with number (see photo 2). This is 1 of 19,997 made in a Limited Edition production release. HISTORY - The Tale Of Pewter: Somewhere between the Bronze Age and the Iron Age, a maker of bronze changed his mixture of metals and formulated pewter. Pewter is an ancient formula of tin, antimony and copper, having the look of silver, but a warmer patina which gives it an antique finish while accenting its sculpted detail. Pewter keeps its original, soft appearance through the slow oxidizing process that darkens gently, but does not tarnish or disfigure like silver. This is a collectible figurine and not a toy. This is made by DC Comics and Comic Book Champions Limited, 1997. The box is in good condition. 05FIGS59

Tarzan Collectibles by: Glenn Erardi

Book Collector Bookstore is a retailer of new books located in Leavenworth, Kansas. We specialize in price guides and reference books for the antiques and collectibles industry. One of the hottest fields in collecting, Tarzan memorabilia ranges from comic books at a dollar or two to first editions valued in the thousands! Part of our cultural heritage for nearly a century, the chest-beating ape man (what other fictional character can be described by a gesture?) has been a hero for generations of boys and girls. Appearing in books, movies, radio, comics, toys, television, cartoons, and even on luggage and vitamins, the image of Tarzan is sure to spark childhood memories of Saturday movie matinees or evenings spent reading the latest issue of the Tarzan comic book. Tarzan collectibles can be found at the priciest auction house or your neighbors yard sale. Recently a movie poster from the 1928 production Tarzan The Mighty went under the gavel for over $30,000. Many of the Tarzan cereal premiums from the 30s and 40s are today worth several hundred dollars. Tarzan comics and books (both hard cover and paperback) offer the collector a chance to obtain samples of artwork by some of the greatest illustrators, past and present. Just as the worth of vintage items grows, todays toys, comic books, movie, and other Tarzan memorabilia have the potential to increase in value.
