Victorian Horn Chairs

Just Listed: A pair of Victorian Horn Chairs. One is a Gentlemans Chair, The other a Ladies Slipper Chair. You will Note the Horns on the upper back of both. Made from Hand Carved Walnut, they are both in great condition, needing refinish and new covering. The Covers are not the original. The only listing I have found is in Kovels, 1991 Addition, page 273. It list one for 2200.00. We are asking 2000.00 for both, plus shipping.   


Art Deco Antique Wicker Arm Chair and Ottoman

This is an antique Art Deco wicker arm chair with matching ottoman. It is tight woven throughout with a diamond design woven into the back.The chair has extra supports under the arms. It has long full skirting with decorative weave pattern changes under the arms.The ottoman is large and when added to the chair they make a very comfortable chaise lounge. The cushions are almost new and they are reversible.Circa 1920s.    


Set of 4 19th Century French Renaissance Style Walnut Chairs

Here is a beautiful set of 4 chairs handcrafted from solid walnut by the second half of the 19th century, each boasting an impressively sculpted acanthus shaped crest above the straight seatback standing upon the caned seat supported by turned fluted legs joined by X-shaped stretcher, all standing on ball feet. Note minor scratches and dents here and there on the chairs. Note that the caning of one of the chair would need restoration. Circa date 1870. Dimensions 39"high/ 19"seat height/ 18"wide/ 17"deep.   


Pr. Spindle Back Chairs w/Black Leather Seats

Pair of large spindle back chairs with black leather seats. A swivel base has been added and the legs have been hand carved to fit each chair. The upholstery is done in top grain leather. These chairs are as beautiful as they are comfortable. $ or $400.ea.    


Vintage Handmade Toy Dolls Chair

Age unknown but very old, this nice little dolls chair has a plank seat and heavy construction. It measures 10-1/4 inches tall x 6-1/4 inches wide x 5 inches deep, and the seat height is 4-3/4 inches. The chair is in the original red paint, and weighs 1/2 lb. Vintage Oak Childs Chair and Chenile Chairpad

Vintage oak childs chair with vintage chenile chair pad. Nice, sturdy solid oak chair; well-made. Has some stain spills on chair, (you can likely rub those out with a fine stainless steel pad, or just leave as is). This is as is, as found, the stain was there when purchased. Perfect if you have an antique childs desk or just want to use as an accept piece.

Rare Belter Rococo rosewood slippper chair

Rare Rococo laminated rosewood Victorian slipper chair made by John Henry Belter, NYC. The elegant open carved design features acorns, grapes, vines and a floral crest. The back of the chair is curved and solid - (notice the wonderful rosewood grain). The chair has an old worn - possibly original- red velvet fabric. The chair sits on the original brass castors. Similar chairs by Belter are pictured on pages 107 and 109 of "American Furniture of the 19th Century 1840-1880" by Eileen and Richard Dubrow and page 55 of "The Furniture of John Henry Belter and the Rococo Revival" by Marvin D Schwartz. Fantastic solid quartered oak hall chairs. These chairs havewonderful open carved crests featuring a bottom wreath supporting a shieldwith two dancing lions. Documented Rosewood Belter Slipper Chair

Victorian Laminated Rosewood Open Pierced CarvedSlipper Chair by John Henry Belter. The chair has a beautiful floral crest with roses,fruit, petal flowers, and grapes. There is a large grape cluster in the center with acornsand oak leaves on the undulating back. This slipper chair features a serpentine seat and delicately carved cabriole legs. The fabric is old and the chairs finish has the originaldark old varnish and patina. This special chair is fully illustratedon pages 56 and 57 of "The Furniture of John Henry Belter and the RococoRevival" by Marvin D.
