Two Hand Painted Hutschenreuther Bavarian Plates


Porcelain For sale are two hand painted Hutschenreuther Bavarian plates. (2 for one price, one is artist signed!). Same shape with, and same painting, but different colors. Both have a green backstamp w/name, Hutschenreuther, a lion in a circle with LHS under it, then Bavaria Germany. One is also signed in gold: M. Petruno. The backstamp is shown in the 1986 Kovels, pg. 65, [M]. This mark was used from 1955-1969 by the Jutschenreuther Porcelain Factory, Selb, Bavaria, West Germany, according to the Kovels. These plates have no chips or cracks and make excellent decorative display plates hung on a wall, on a shelf, on the plate rack in a china cabinet, or framed! They are 8 x 8 inches. One has white flowers; other has pink flowers.
