Rosenthal China Tea Pot Claudia Pattern #2970

$156.00

Hand painted flower clusters of light moss green, pastel pink and yellow decorate the 4 cup tea pot which stands 3 3/4 inches to the top of the lid. The button finial on the tea pot is gold encrusted and adds to the classic, elegant design.Purchased at an antique estate sale, the Claudia pattern has a Form E or Elfenbein time line with manufacture extending from 1901 to mid 1950’s. Most likely, this pattern was created in the 1940’s to perhaps early 1950’s. The one previous owner was one of the first WAC nurses to serve during WWII, and she bought the Rosenthal china during that time period. The tea pot has been used minimally. All of the Rosenthal Claudia pieces were mostly on display in a breakfront cabinet. There are no damage issues on this tea post with the R.C. crown, X lines, and green stamp under the base. In addition, it is signed in gold ink, Waltrand, which customarily indicates the decorator’s name.
